Job Description:

Summary: The Sales Associate provides excellent customer service following company policies and procedures and sells products to individuals at the retail store.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Assist customers with loading product
  • Reacting to and reporting customer complaints tactfully and promptly
  • Adhere to all credit card and check processing policies
  • Follow all company safety and security policies
  • Operating cash register and all point-of-sale equipment efficiently
  • Prepare shift reports and other reports as required by management
  • Ability to work with a flexible work schedule
  • Report to work on time and when needed
  • Following policies and procedures established to prevent loss of cash and merchandise due to actions by employees, vendors, and customers
  • Alert to employee, customer, and/or vendor theft, misuse of company property, drive-offs, loitering, drug selling or use
  • Handling cash and safe drops in accordance with company policies
  • Clean shelves, drives, dispensers, rest rooms, store interior, and other designated areas
  • Accurate inventory counts
  • Receiving, pricing, stocking, rotating and counting merchandise in store and warehouse
  • Assist management in maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or one to three months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic computer understanding
